A History Established in 2001 as the South Valley Outlaws, the team originally operated out of Lemoore as a member of the West Coast Football Association. Comprised mostly of correctional officers and “country boys” the team was named the Outlaws in keeping with their country roots and with the players desire to be more intimidating than a cowboy. That year the Outlaws won their first of two consecutive Western Division Titles and added to their undefeated season the inaugural Valley Bowl Championship. The team disbanded in 2004, relocated to Visalia by player/ Coach Manuel Florez, becoming the Central Valley Outlaws. For the past four seasons, the Outlaws have strived to play with integrity and poise, while maintaining our tradition of hard nose football. Community Opportunity In 2007, the Outlaws joined the Central Valley Football League (CVFL). The CVFL is a registered 501c (3) non-profit corporation and is seeking to both raise the level of local Semi-Pro football and to form partnerships with local High Schools and community businesses to create a safe, affordable family event. The Outlaws are one of sixteen teams in the CVFL. Our season lasts over ten weeks beginning March 2008, with games played throughout the valley. Our organization is made up of fathers, husbands, sons, and local athletes ranging between the ages of 17 – 45 years old, gathered from Visalia, Tulare, Farmersville, Exeter, Hanford, Lemoore and various other communities not only here in the valley, but also stretching as far south as Los Angeles and as far north as San Francisco. Every team, player, and coach is responsible for the expenses associated with competing within the league, including league fees, equipment, and uniforms. The CVFL has enabled the Outlaws to operate as their own franchise, as true owners with the ability to able to raise money through sponsorship, with the incentive of a Tax Credit. The Outlaws will be depending upon the contributions of philanthropic businesses and individuals to help cover the costs for those players who struggle to pay their personal dues. Your contributions will not only help individual players and the team, but it will also strengthen the bonds between you and your local community. The Outlaws are prepared to donate 20% of the money raised from the entrance fee to two local youth organizations. The players and coaching staff of the Outlaws appreciate any help you may be able to contribute.
